I hate the support given by creative. I lost my Installation CD for the SB live 5.1 series. Now cant do a shit without the driver

Just got finished reloading windows with my new nVidia motherboard, 680i maybe the same as yours. And of course i have to old drivers on a DVD but not enough IDE slots to have two hard drives and my DVD drive plugged in at the same time.

AMEN to that!!!
had the same problem – wound up buying driver magic – solved eventually but had to manually install the driver – but creative does not supply a proper functioning .exe file. The one downloaded is always truncated.
Driver magic eventually installed for me but had to let them on to m desktop.

It totally sucks.

not to mention, once you do have it working, the player skins suck too.

This is why all drivers should be open source. If the vendor no longer wishes to maintain or contribute to the driver, the community will take over and this problem wouldn’t exist.
