  1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
    A few things: crashed a car, went to a professional job interview, probably a lot of stuff that’s so boring I can’t remember it
  2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
    Didn’t make any, didn’t have any to keep.
  3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
    The only person I can think of is a relative of my girlfriends’ – though I’ve not met them
  4. Did anyone close to you die?
    Unfortunately, yes.
  5. What countries did you visit?
    None.
  6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
    Motivation to go to the gym more. The start of a successful career.
  7. What date(s) from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
    Probably going to get into trouble for this, but – I don’t remember any particular dates. Just events.
  8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
    Graduating uni, I guess. And getting a job as a result.
  9. What was your biggest failure?
    Losing sight of a few personal goals I had been forming for a long time.
  10. Did you suffer any illness or injury?
    Had a short trip to the hospital.
  11. What was the best thing you bought?
    Uhhm … birthday presents for friends and family? Or the recent additions to my growing CD collection. Nine Inch Nails!
  12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
    Some friends of mine whom are now closer to me than they once were.
  13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
    Probably that guy who kept his daughters locked in a dungeon of his own making under their family home.
  14. Where did most of your money go?
    Bills, loans, dinners and drinks.
  15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
    All of the concerts I went to last year. My girlfriends’ birthday. Buying tickets to BDO & Soundwave.

    i. happier or sadder? Happier.
    ii. thinner or fatter? About the same – though now it’s muscle & fat, not just fat.
    iii. richer or poorer? Richer.
  18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
    Exercise. Appreciating other people.
  19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
    Waiting in hospitals. Putting my foot in it with respect to relationships with women (and one in particular).
  20. How will you be spending Christmas?
    I’m obviously late answering this quiz … I spent it with my family, in the hospital.

    No, but the amount of love I felt for particular people increased.

    None.

    Nope.

    Eragon or Magician

    2008 was a quiet year in terms of ‘new music’ for me — mostly, I just came to appreciate artists I already liked even more.

    Nine Inch Nails albums :D

    A new car.

    TRANSFORMERS!!!!!!!!!!!
  30. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
    Had a big dinner with all my friends. I turned 22.
  31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
    Knowing my future path more clearly.
  32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
    Much the same as any other year: plain T-shirts, shorts in the summer, jeans in the winter.

    Music.

    None, really.
  35. What political issue stirred you the most?
    The release of Ghosts I-IV & The Slip by NIN for free and the statement that made about the music industry. The Australian Governments’ proposal for a mandatory national internet filtering system.

    My girlfriends’ nan, who passed away.
  37. Who was the best new person you met?
    I’ve been rather unsociable, so no new people to mention.

    Don’t become complacent, and don’t expect your well-laid plans to remain as they are.

    All of them!

    I don’t get embarrassed.
